How it works

Snap or type the item

Photograph the item, or tap the keyboard button and type the brand and what it is. Add a photo of the tag if you like — brand, size and fabric sharpen the match.
See the resale range

A range appears from current listings, then is replaced by recent sales when FlipCue finds enough of them, labelled “Based on N recent sales (last 90 days)”. It always says which you’re looking at.
Enter the tag price

Fees for eBay, Poshmark or Mercari come out, and you get Buy, Your call or Skip, with profit at the middle and the low end of the range.

The verdict

Type the tag price and FlipCue does the math in the aisle: profit at the middle of the range, profit at the low end, and return on cost. A clear margin is a Buy. A thin one, or an unsure match, is Your call. A loss is a Skip.

Wrong match? Tap Not right? Fix it, type what it really is, and it re-prices.

Where do the prices come from?

From recent sales and current listings across major resale marketplaces. FlipCue shows a range from current listings first, then replaces it with recent sales from the last 90 days when it finds enough of them. The card always says which: “Based on N recent sales (last 90 days)”, or based on recent listings.

How accurate is it?

It is an estimate only, not an appraisal. Condition, size, completeness and timing move the real price, and actual sale prices vary. FlipCue shows how confident it is about the identification, and judges the low end of the range as well as the middle, so a thin margin is never called a clean Buy.

Which fees does it take out?

eBay’s final value fee plus per-order fee, Poshmark’s flat fee under $15 or 20% above it, and Mercari’s selling fee, each checked against the marketplace’s own published rates. Category and seller-status variations exist; check your own account for what you will actually pay.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no account, no login and no email to give. Your scan history stays on your phone.

What happens to my photos?

A photo is sent to identify the item and is not stored. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is handled.

How do the trial and cancelling work?

Premium Weekly starts with a 7-day trial for new subscribers: nothing is charged for 7 days, then it is $7.99 a week unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Cancel in the iPhone Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Is there an Android or iPad version?

Not yet. FlipCue is for iPhone, iOS 17 or later.
